LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla., May 16, 2011 – With a prize patrol and special awards in tow, Mickey Mouse is visiting local schools this week to recognize 15 students in the five-county area as Disney Dreamers and Doers Shining Stars.
More than 400 students were chosen as 2011 Disney Dreamers and Doers from applications submitted by elementary, middle and high schools in Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake and Polk counties. Those named as Disney Dreamers and Doers consistently demonstrate outstanding character, lead by example and have a caring spirit. Disney Dreamers and Doers Shining Stars are considered the best of the best, as determined by a panel of judges made up of community leaders and Disney cast members.
Disney Dreamers and Doers Shining Stars receive a Mickey Mouse statue, Walt Disney World annual passes for themselves and their immediate families, a gold medallion and a special day of fun and learning at Walt Disney World on June 18. All Disney Dreamers and Doers receive four theme park tickets, a certificate and a bronze medallion.
