Disney Lends Magic to Jewish Community Organization

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla., April, 15, 2008 — Walt Disney World Resort provided entertainment for the Jewish Community Center of Greater Orlando’s Family Festival 2008 in downtown Orlando. This year marked the fifth annual festival, and the entertainment was showcased on the Walt Disney Amphitheater stage.  The festival focused on family and featured attractions including rides, games and local artist displays.  Entertainment and admission for the festival was free, while proceeds from ticket sales for rides, refreshments and games went towards scholarships.

Last year, the festival helped 150 families and raised more than $300,000 in scholarships.  Barry Jacobson, director of event management for Walt Disney World, and Jewish Community Center board member says, “We are happy to be involved in this event to raise money for children to attend summer camp.  Without this generosity, many of them would be unable to attend.”
