Expedition Everest, a 199-foot-tall,
Himalayan-themed runaway train adventure, officially opened today at
Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Pictured
in front of the attraction are three of the featured guests at the
grand opening ceremony (L-R): Peter Hillary, son of famed Mount
Everest explorer Sir Edmund Hillary; Jay Rasulo, chairman of Walt
Disney Parks and Resorts; and Jamling Tenzing Norgay, son of Nepalese
Sherpa Tenzing Norgay, who accompanied Sir Edmund Hillary to the
summit of Mount Everest on May 29, 1953. Hillary and Norgay also have
climbed Mount Everest, just as their fathers did. (David Roark,
