Mom’s Night Out – Disney’s Pop Century Resort

Food and fun are always on the menu at Classic Hall, the spacious

A CULINARY TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE — Food and fun are always on the
menu at Classic Hall, the spacious food court at Disney’s Pop
Century Resort. Walt Disney World Resort guests take a trip down
memory lane on five decades of American fare, each dish prepared
with a dash of Disney dining magic. Chef Dee Foundoukis has updated
favorite recipes from the last 50 years for guests of the
2,880-room value-category resort. Specialties include peanut butter
fluff sandwiches, Twinkie tiramisu, Dreamsicle smoothies, tie-dyed
cheesecake and oversized sloppy joes. After 4 p.m., one of the food
court stations turns into “Mom’s Night Out,” serving up a rotating
menu of comfort food favorites — including buttermilk fried
chicken, mashed potatoes, prime rib and chicken and dumplings — in
classic three-compartment TV-dinner tins. Walt Disney World Resort
is in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. (Photo: Gene Duncan/Disney)
