Gold medalist Ian Crocker signs the swim cap of Tisha Jarquin, 13,
Aug. 31 in the wave pool at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park as
fellow USA Swimming gold medalists Michael Phelps, left, and Lenny
Krayzelburg, right, look on. The swimming teammates made Walt
Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., their first stop
following championship performances in Athens. The trio also led a
camp for young swimming hopefuls from the YMCA’s Y-Team Orlando.
The trio is kicking off a national tour called “Disney’s Swim with
the Stars.” Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World
Resort in Florida will present the tour that will feature community
outreach programs and swimming celebration shows. Following today’s
kickoff, the tour will travel with schedule stops in Atlanta, New
York, Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Las Vegas, Salt Lake
City, Seattle and San Francisco. The final stop will be Oct. 4-5 at
the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif. (Photo: David
