Champion swimmer Michael Phelps takes time in the Magic Kingdom to
sign autographs for park guests Aug. 31 during a visit to Walt
Disney World Resort.

USA Swimming gold medalist teammates Ian Crocker, Michael Phelps
and Lenny Krayzelburg made Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena
Vista, Fla., the first destination following their championship
performances in Athens. Here, Phelps takes time in the Magic
Kingdom to sign autographs for park guests. The championship trio
was at Disney World to kick off a national tour called “Disney’s
Swim with the Stars.” Disneyland Resort in California and Walt
Disney World Resort in Florida will present the tour that will
feature community outreach programs in each city and a swimming
celebration show. Phelps, Crocker and Krayzelburg will be joined by
Mickey Mouse in each tour stop. Following today’s Orlando-area
visit, the tour will travel with scheduled stops in Atlanta, New
York, Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Las Vegas, Salt Lake
City, Seattle and San Francisco. The final stop will be Oct. 4-5 at
the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif. (Photo: Gene
